Coronavirus Agreement (19/7/21)

Government Guidelines

During the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, I will be following the Government advice on how to stay safe. Should this advice change (whether nationally or locally), this may result in short term changes to my practice. At all times, Government advice will supersede anything in this contract.

Things I am doing to keep you safe

I have introduced the following measures, to enable me to provide a safe environment for you.

  • I am double vaccinated and take 2 lateral flows tests every week.
  • On arrival, please text me on 07974 415739 instead of pressing the button, so I can let you in.
  • Keep the therapy room door open when you arrive so you do not have to touch any handles.
  • I will keep the window ajar, weather dependent, to enable some air circulation.
  • All necessary paperwork will be signed before the session by way of e-mail and online forms.
  • The chairs will be set just under 2.5 metres apart and slightly angled, to allow for social distancing.
  • All glasses are placed in the dishwasher and water can now be provided. I can now provide tissues.
  • I will leave 30 minutes between sessions.
  • I will open both the therapy room door and the main entrance door when our session has finished.
  • After each session, all contact surfaces will be disinfected.
  • I will wear a face mask in the communal areas but not in the counselling room.
  • I will now offer the option of using a card reader at the end of the session by way of payment, as well as BACS payments that can be paid before or after the session.
  • I will report back to you if I develop symptoms after our session.

Things I ask you to do

In order to keep a safe environment, this is what I require from you.

  • Please arrive as close to your appointment time as possible although the waiting room is now in use again.
  • Sanitise your hands upon entry and have your temperature taken.
  • Do not touch the door handles, I will open the door for you on entry and after the session.
  • Feel free to wear a see-through face shield if you would prefer to wear one. Please note that due to the fact I wear hearing aids, I would be unable to hear you if you were wearing a face mask.
  • To report back to me if you should develop any symptoms after our session.

Facilities

Access to the toilets is once again available should you wish to use them.

Symptoms

In the event that you or I (or anyone in our households) develops symptoms, you should not attend the session in person. Where possible, the session will be changed to a remote method. I will give you as much notice as possible in this case, and I would ask that you do the same.

If you are unable to attend your session due to either you or anyone in your household displaying COVID symptoms, there will be no late cancellation fee.

Communication

Should you need to contact me at short notice, the best way is to call – 07974 415739. Less urgent enquiries can be emailed to [email protected].

Track and Trace

Should I test positive for coronavirus, I may have to disclose people whom I have had close contact with, to the NHS. If I am required to do so, I will provide your name and contact number. No information around the nature of our contact will be provided.

Should you test positive, I am happy for you to provide my name and phone number to the NHS tracers.

I am now using the NHS COVID-19 App when seeing clients face to face. There is a QR code displayed on arrival and in the therapy rooms at North Lodge. Feel free to ‘check-in’ using the NHS COVID-19 App to help comply with contact tracing requirements.
